Vishal focuses on finding Rotman talent in Europe and the US. Vishal also leads initiatives for Rotman Recruitment & Admissions in the greater Toronto area.

Why Rotman:

In April 2008, when Vishal sat down in Boston Common to read the cover story of the latest Canadian Business issue, he fell in love… with Mihnea Moldoveanu, Roger Martin and concepts of Integrative Thinking and Business Design – approaches he had adopted in his own life and work. So Vishal wrote a note to Mihnea but not having his email handy it stayed in his drafts folder. Vishal joined Rotman just to deliver it. No, not really 🙂 But when he moved to Toronto and further explored Rotman he found its MBA program to be even more progressive, and people in Rotman community so caring. Finally, it was meeting Jamie and the team, and seeing how closely aligned their passion for discovering and developing student talent was to his, spurred Vishal to join the Admissions family and call Rotman home.

Prior to Coming to Rotman:

Vishal helped reshape student experience and culture at Wharton, oversaw students’ holistic well-being, and helped them curate their individual MBA experience. He also worked in Wharton’s Executive Education and coached senior leaders on building high-performing teams. He has also worked in the federal government, sports, TV production, and in the paramilitary air force. Vishal got a specialized Masters in Sports Business and Bachelors in Physics.

He got beaten up a lot when he boxed competitively and now takes solace in squash. Vishal has embarrassingly danced in a Grammy-winning music video and judged American Business Awards. He is a contributing author of the book Committed Teams. Vishal has lived and worked in India, Canada, US and the UK. He tries hard to speak ASL but he either needs to be stopped or helped.
