The Executive Diagnostic Test (EDT) is administered online and can be taken anytime from home or your office. Note that it does not require any scheduling in advance as it is tailored to your schedule.

You will be using the following platforms to complete the test.

  • Quercus, the University of Toronto platform where you will write the exam and find all test materials, to complete the test.
  • ProctorTrack is our proctoring platform which has been integrated with Quercus.

We host monthly EDT tutorial sessions, and please feel free to reach out if interested. Although it is not mandatory, attending the tutorial sessions is highly encouraged, so that you are able to ask questions and work through the test materials.

If you cannot attend the sessions, we encourage you to register for the sessions as recordings will be shared with the registrants in the following days. Meanwhile, you may review the previous sessions’ recordings by submitting the request to the respective program.

When you are ready to take your test, please contact the Recruitment & Admissions Team for the respective program listed below for the instructions and the access to the test. You will receive detailed instructions on how to proceed and access your test.

EMBA: emba@rotman.utoronto.ca

GEMBA: gemba@rotman.utoronto.ca

GEMBA-HLS: gemba-hls@rotman.utoronto.ca

After completing the EDT, your work will be sent to the Rotman Admissions team and the EDT grader for marking. A summary of your exam result will be shared with you via email in 3-5 business days, and this will be added to your application. Note that candidates must achieve a minimum of 80% in each of the three sections.

Best of luck with the EDT!
