RAMA Speaker Series #5: Norman Raschkowan, Mackenzie Investments

 

Description: Norman Raschkowan, Executive Vice-President, Investments, is Chief North American Investment Strategist and Team Lead of the Maxxum Funds at Mackenzie Investments. Mr. Raschkowan graduated in 1980 from McGill University with a degree in Finance and a gold medal in Economics. Before joining Mackenzie Investments in 2007, Norman spent 27 years at Standard Life Investments Inc. in Montreal. He began his career in 1980 as a Fixed Income Research Analyst and became a bond fund manager in 1981. He became an equity fund manager in 1984 and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Canadian and US Equities in 1990. In 2006, Norman was appointed Chief Investment Officer at Standard Life. He also earned his MBA in International Business and Real Estate from McGill in 1985, and is a member of the CFA Institute.

RAMA Speaker Series #6: Danilo Simonelli & Ivan Pelipenko, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

 

Description: Danilo Simonelli is responsible for managing Ontario Teachers’ Emerging Markets Fixed Income portfolios. Since joining Teachers’ in 2005, he has held progressively more senior positions, most recently as Portfolio Manager responsible for Emerging Markets credit. Previously, he worked at JPMorgan in its London office as a member of the debt capital markets origination group, covering European financial institutions and the Republic of Italy. Mr. Simonelli holds an HBA cum laude from Milan’s Bocconi University, a Master in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charter holder.

 

Ivan Pelipenko is a senior member of the Fixed Income Emerging Markets team at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. He is responsible for research, analysis and trading in liquid Fixed Income instruments in EM globally. Mr. Pelipenko holds an HBSc in Economics and a Master in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charter holder.
