Bootlegger’s Ball

Hello all you lovely ‘Prohibitioners’!

As you know, tickets for the Bootlegger’s Ball on Friday November 22nd are now available (purchase tickets HERE). Escape from the rigor of school as we usher you into our speakeasy, hidden from the hustle and bustle of Rotman. Reviving the hedonistic antics of the 1920s, this is sure to be an evening of Prohibition-era raucous and rip-roaring fun! Guests are invited to enjoy cocktails*, light refreshments, silent cinema, music, entertainment, and dancing (including a DJ set to take all your requests)!

Despite our lax attitude to the rules of civility, the Bootlegger’s Ball encourages you to dress in the spirit of the times. In the 1920s denim was the uniform of prisoners, not the attire of suave ladies & gentlemen, and runners are totally inappropriate footwear for dancing the Charleston *wink*. Wear your best hats, spats, or pearls! Dress as a gangster or as a silent screen star! Still unsure? Google 1920s Attire for more ideas and we’ll see you at the Cat’s Meow!

*Please note that drink tickets for alcoholic beverages can be purchased with CASH ONLY as credit cards are not accepted and there is no ATM on site.
