The LGBT + Friends Club is seeking applications for the exec team!

Do you want to help build a stronger Rotman community? Look no further! Consider joining the executive team for the club made for LGBT students and friends. We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Communications Officer, and a Chief Relationship Officer.

If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please submit a resume and answer these questions: “I want to be involved because…” and “I should be involved because…” (300 words or less for each question).

Chief Operating Officer (COO) 

– Plan, coordinate and execute all social, professional, and educational events for the club
– Serve as liaison between school clubs and associations
– Collect feedback from students, administrators, and external partners on how to improve club functionality
– Develop and execute initiatives to help improve the club based on feedback
– Work with CEO to plan and facilitate meetings
– Act as CEO in the absence of Chief Executive Officer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

– Develop and maintain a fiscally responsible budget for the club
– Manage bank accounts and related banking activities
– Manage membership dues and fundraising activities
– Assist the GBC during audits by providing reports and other relevant information
– Oversee club finances and ensures the club remains financially sound and solvent
– Work with the CEO to plan and facilitate meetings

Chief Communications Officer (CCO)

– Maintain and update the club website as new, relevant information becomes available
– Manage communication between the club and its members including email, digital/social media, and other evolving communication platforms
– Create and manage events on R-World
– Work with CRO to create and execute club marketing strategies
– Work with CEO to plan and facilitate meetings

Chief Relationship Officer (CRO)

– Develop and maintain relationships with Toronto’s business community in order to secure sponsorship for the club and events hosted by the club
– Initiate and establishs relationships with LGBT alumni and friends across all MBA programs and Rotman faculty in order to leverage their social and professional networks with the club
– Recruit, interview, appoint and manage Class Ambassadors to further club efforts
– Coordinate with CCO to create and execute club marketing strategies
– Work with CEO to plan and facilitate meetings
