Danielle Nicole Ocampo, Vice President External Relations & Marketing
Prior to starting my MBA, I spent 4 years in Management Consulting, with 3 years at KPMG Manila’s Information Risk Management Practice and 1 year at EY’s Performance Improvement Practice.
I advised various sectors, including financial services, consumer and industrial products, hospitality, and telecommunications and I developed strong skills and experiences in Risk Advisory, Performance Improvement, Strategy, and Data Analytics.
Growing up in an “emerging market”, I grew up with the perspective that the world is full of problems, but with these problems come opportunities for problem-solving. This not only gave me an awareness of problems like gender inequality and poverty, but a deep sense of responsibility to do contribute to solving these problems.
While I worked as a consultant in the day, I managed several passion projects too. One is Legendairy, a social enterprise that I had founded in my senior year of university, where I worked to provide livelihood opportunities to farmers in poor rural communities in the Philippines.
I also worked with Girls Got Game, a non-profit whose primary purpose is to empower the youth through sports, as the organization’s Director of Finance and Growth Sustainability. Our team set out with the vision to empower young Filipinas with important life lessons through sports, and ultimately to break the cycle of poverty through education.
I came to Rotman to marry my passions in consulting and sustainability, particularly to find ways for economic development in communities that need it the most.
