Olga Lucia Cruz, Vice President Business Development
I am a finance professional with six years of experience in private equity, impact investing, and investment banking. I truly believe that it is possible to create business models in the intersection of profit and purpose and that capitalism can be a solution for the world’s most pressing problems. Within the impact space, I have a special love for businesses that have used human-centered design to create ground-breaking solutions. I think that if we want to provide for people’s needs, we need to start by understanding what those needs truly are.
Prior to Rotman I worked at Pacific Agri Capital, as an asset manager investing in tropical agriculture, where I initiated the social innovation practice. I have helped build a social enterprise that will support +900 smallholder farmers become professional cacao growers.
During my MBA, I have focused on strategy and business design. I did my summer internship with Good and Well, a family office investing in early stage businesses, where I created an impact management system and where I will continue working as a consultant for the ethical fashion portfolio.
