Vanessa Matos Tudela, President
I am from Caracas, Venezuela and have undergraduate degree in International Affairs with a minor in International Business from American University in Washington DC. Most of my professional growth has been in a multilateral development bank, IADB, an institution in which the viability of projects is not measured solely by financials or by the creditworthiness of a borrower, but also by its developmental impact. My focus before coming to Rotman had been in climate finance, more specifically demonstrating through private sector clients the viability and attractiveness of investing in renewable energy
My experience is closely linked to my passion for creating positive impact in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I spent my summer working at MaRS Discovery District where I worked in the Smart Cities team developing shared mobility projects. I truly believe in pursuing a career with purpose and my time at MaRS has showed me the intersection between entrepreneurship and sustainability.
I believe that RNI is the best platform at Rotman to demonstrate to the next generation of business leaders the importance and relevance of cultivating the relationship between environmental/ social stewardship and financial gains.
