Key Objectives

• Introduce students to the concept of organic networking by bringing to light shared interests and passions
• Create a pleasant and engaging atmosphere for students to network with one another and develop strong friendships through healthy athletic activity and other social events
• Cultivate a sense of team spirit and trust among the Rotman student body
• Educate students on the Toronto based offering for their respective sport/hobby of choice

Proposed Events

• Bowled in Business – A lawn bowling tournament and social at the beautiful RCYC sailing club on the Toronto island – September 19th 3-7pm
• Mt. Tremblant Ski & Snowboard trip – Rotman students and alumni will travel to Quebec to explore the breathtaking town of Tremblant and get some time on the slopes
• Ad-hoc events will be planned throughout the year depending on demand

  • Golf lessons
  • Ski day at a local hill with lessons
  • etc.

Why was the RANA founded (previously Rotman Ski & Golf Association)?

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is the key to getting the most out of your MBA experience; the Golf & Ski club was founded to provide students with an opportunity to participate in sports to make memories and bond over shared interests.

In 2018, we expanded the scope of the Ski & Golf association to include a broader range of hobbies. The MBA class is incredibly diverse and talented and we wanted to reflect the range of interests and hobbies that are fostered by our students.

The Rotman Active Networking Association will cater to the student body by offering events and information about where, when and how students can practice their sport of choice!
