Instructor Bio
Hazel Lord is an executive management professional with over 20 years of success in achieving operational excellence by capitalizing on short-term business opportunities to facilitate long-term business success. She is the founder of Pearl Operational Design Inc, a boutique consulting company that partners with corporate and non-profit clients to execute critical operational strategies such as lean six sigma transformations, mergers and technology implementations to name a few.

Course Mission
Learning outcomes for the students:
- Develop a solid understanding of LSS concepts, techniques, tools, and their application
- Demonstrate how to apply the LSS quality framework and tools within an organization to help solve a real-world business problem
- Ability to drive, statistically control, or provide key advice on continuously quality improvement initiatives
Course Scope
This quality management course will provide students with the foundational elements of the Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools to analyze and solve business process problems. The course offers a combination of theoretical concepts and practical experience. The course will have two main components; a theoretical one followed by a hands-on project. The theoretical component will introduce the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control methodology with corresponding process and statistical tools. In the hands-on project students will apply the lean six sigma quality management framework and tools to solve business problems within different organizations while being coached by a certified black belt instructor. This course can serve as preparation for the green belt lean six sigma certifications.
