Established in memory of Risa Goldberg (MBA ’08), a Rotman School of Management alumna, this scholarship will be awarded to a first-year female student in the Full-Time MBA program who embodies Risa’s qualities.
Value: $13,000; plus preferred interview process with CIBC for an internship opportunity relating to capital markets for the Summer of 2023.
Eligibility:
- Must self-identify as a female and be enrolled in the first year Full-Time MBA program at Rotman School of Management and interested in a career in capital markets;
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be willing to hold a summer internship
- Must have a diversified educational or professional background outside of a typical finance only focus
Shortlisted candidates will interview with the Awards Committee.
How to Apply:
Submit one single document (as a Word or PDF file).
- A cover letter/essay (no more than 2 pages long) providing a narrative of your background, goals, and achievements as they relate to Risa and her biography. You may also find more information about Risa on the Scholarship’s Facebook page.
- A current résumé
Letter and résumé must be in standard Rotman format (template available through RCareer) and can be addressed to “Award Committee”.
Ensure that your document includes your student number and full name on each page.
Do not include any extra documents (i.e. reference letters, project reports, transcripts, etc.). Academic standing will be confirmed by the Registrar’s Office.
