The Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE) is a global network of academics and practitioners dedicated to sharing research and ideas in the fast-growing field of financial econometrics. It is an independent non-profit membership organization, currently housed at New York University.  SoFiE is committed to promoting and expanding research and education by organizing and sponsoring conferences, programs and activities at the intersection of finance and econometrics, including links to macroeconomic fundamentals.

Canada’s top business school, Rotman has all the advantages of its global peers, plus a bold vision of business education that can’t be found anywhere else.

Rotman has built a global reputation on its ambitious vision for business education. Success in today’s global business landscape hinges on quickly adapting to volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments. At the Rotman School, our students receive a solid grounding in all the functional areas of business, and also learn how to go beyond them to consider the big picture. Through Integrative Thinking and Business Design, they gain the tools they need to solve the toughest problems, approaching each challenge with creativity and a willingness to take risks.

The Global Risk Institute in Financial Services

Financial institutions, governments, policymakers and regulators are all seeking growth and stability in an uncertain world. The Global Risk Institute in Financial Services (GRI) responds to the needs of the private and public sectors for better intelligence, information and training regarding risk in the financial services sector.

Founded by the public and private sectors in Canada and now expanding internationally, our mandate is to develop applied and integrative research in financial risk and enhance risk education for organizations around the world. Through our research and education programs, we build integrated risk management capacity for private and public sector risk professionals. We also act as a hub, stimulating evidence-based debate between regulators, practitioners and academics engaged in risk.

Cutting across industry sub-sectors and the different vantage points of the private sector, regulators, central banks and academia, we create new approaches to risk. We also help our member organizations build innovative and practical strategies that better manage the balance between risk and opportunity in financial services.
