Onil Bhattacharyya, MD, PhD
Onil Bhattacharyya is the Frigon-Blau Chair in Family Medicine Research at Women’s College Hospital, Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. He is also a 2015-2015 Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice at the Commonwealth Fund. He studied medicine at the University of Montreal, did his PhD in Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto and was a Takemi Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health. He co-leads Building Bridges to Integrate Care, an incubator for new models of care for complex patients in Toronto, and studies innovative health service delivery models in low- and middle-income countries. He was an academic advisor for the Global Impact Investment Network on performance measurement, has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and numerous book chapters, and been invited to present two TEDx talks.
Anita M. McGahan, MBA, PhD
Anita M. McGahan is a Professor of Strategic Management and Rotman Chair in Management at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She is cross appointed to the Munk School of Global Affairs; is a Senior Associate at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard University; and is Chief Economist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Division for Global Health and Human Rights. Her current research emphasizes entrepreneurship in the public interest and innovative collaboration between public and private organizations. She is also pursuing a long-standing interest in the inception of new industries, particularly in global health.
