Wal-Mart Green Challenge
All Rotman students are invited to attend the Walmart Green Challenge event on February 26. At the event five student-finalist teams from universities and colleges across Canada will try to convince some of Canada’s most successful business leaders that they have the most compelling breakthrough idea benefitting both business and the environment.

The Rotman Real Estate Association (RREA) invites all students to join them on Friday, February 1st for a light breakfast with Chief Development Officer for Smart Centres, Mauro Pambianchi (’81), as he shares insights into careers in real estate, developing commercial real estate, and his views on the market.
16th Annual Conference of the JD/MBA Students’ Association!
Registration is now open for the 16th annual conference of the Osgoode-Schulich JD/MBA Students’ Association, and all MBA, JD, and JD/MBA students are invited to attend. Each year this conference focuses on an interdisciplinary theme touching on business, law, and public policy. This year’s focus is “Industrious Elements: At the Intersection of Law, Business, and Mining,” and will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Courtyard Marriott from 8:15am to 2:00pm. Tickets cost only $20 per student, which includes meals. The 2013 conference’s keynote speaker will be Ian Delaney, Chairman of Sherritt International. The 2013 event will appeal to and inform a wide range of legal and business interests. This year’s panel discussion topics include corporate finance, environmental assessment, mining legal practice, Aboriginal issues, international issues, and sustainable development.
Rotman Leadership Club Workshop
The Rotman Leadership Club (RLC) will be hosting a workshop event on Saturday, January 26th and is extending an invitation to all Rotman students! This will be an interactive workshop run by Tiziana Casciaro, Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Rotman School of Management entitled “Secrets of Effective Change Agents in Entrenched Organizations”.
This year the Rotman/Johnson & Johnson Medical Companies Case Comp is challenging students to “Recommend a comprehensive strategy to solve a real time business challenge facing Canada’s evolving healthcare system.” The competition will take place at Rotman on Wednesday, February 6th with judges from J&J, UHN, Sick Kids Hospital, and the Ministry of Health, to name a few. Teams can consist of between 3 and 4 UofT graduate students from any cohort. The registration fee is $10 for non-members of Rotman Healthcare & Biotechnology Association.
