Summer nights in Toronto: Movies under the stars

It’s May 16th, and I’m already thinking about the summer ahead. The weather is getting warmer, the city is opening its patio doors, and Torontonians are looking forward to being outdoors after a long winter of hibernation.

Most nights of the week, it’s possible to pack a blanket (I recommend a pillow to sit on if chairs aren’t provided), a snack (I recommend a full picnic), and settle in for an evening of (mostly FREE) entertainment. Parks and venues all over the city offer free outdoor movie nights from June through August, so choose a flick, and head on over.

Christie Pits is the park closest to Rotman, and my favourite. There is a Baskin Robbins/Kernels across the street from the park too, in case you feel like some popcorn or ice cream during/before/after the movie (or all three — I don’t judge).

There is also a sail-in movie night. You know, for those of us with yachts and sailboats. (P.S. If you have a yacht hit the Recruitment team up, because that sounds like a great… team building activity.)
