Recap: January 7th Deadline at Rotman

Lynda PatersonWhat an exciting time! The 2nd application deadline, January 7th, has passed and we are now compiling the hundreds of applications that were submitted!

We have received numerous enquires about what happens when supporting documents did not arrive by the January 7th deadline. Does that mean you will be evaluated as part of Round 3? No!

If you submitted the online application by the 7th but one or more of the supporting documents — such as GMAT, TOEFL, transcript or references — remain outstanding we will still review your application as soon as we receive everything. In short, we won’t wait until Round 3 to review your file. We can’t guarantee an admissions decision by March 8th, as promised for those of you whose applications were complete by January 7th , but you will still hear from us sooner than if you had applied for Round 3.

What’s Next?

When your application is complete you will receive an email from us indicating that your application is ready for review. Since applications are reviewed in sequence of submission, it may be a number of weeks after that before you hear from us about whether or not you are invited for an interview.

Now that you have submitted your application and you are waiting to hear from us, we encourage you to reach out to our student ambassadors to get a better understanding of the Rotman community and what it is like to be a student in the best MBA program in Canada! There are many ways to get connected with Rotman:

Remember we are always here to help so feel free to contact us should you have any questions about the status of your application!

  1. Good Morning Lynda,

How are you? I hope you are in good health. Lynda, I am Parul Verma from New Delhi, India, and I have in total 5 years of experience in both IT-Presales Bid Management (currently as a Bid Manager) and IT-Technical (formerly as a BA) , out of which 1.5 years is international experience in Malaysia.
I got a 680 on my GMAT (with a 6/6 in AWA & 8/8 in IR). I am almost done with my application for the 2016 intake of 2 year Full Time MBA @ Rotman.
As suggested, I am in constant touch with couple of 2014 Rotman MBA Graduates and few current Rotman MBA students via both emails and phone.

I have taken a lot of inputs from them such as Life at Rotman, Competitiveness of the class, What differentiates Rotman from other Canadian Business Schools, Location based advantage as Rotman is based in the heart of Toronto and how the location plays an important factor during the recruitment, Diversity of the class, What extra steps does Rotman takes for its students, and about different extra-curricular activities.

I have also chosen Arjun Chakraverty as my MBA Ambassador. I have taken a lot of inputs from him as well.

Lynda, I am seriously considering Rotman for my Full Time MBA. I have even registered and scheduled a one on one meetup for THE MBA TOUR that is supposed to take place on 30/Sept/2015 @ Leela Kempinski Gurgaon, Delhi Hotel , Ambience Island, National Highway-8, Delhi, Haryana 122 -22 India.

In case you are going to represent Rotman at the above event then please let me know. I would like to touch base with you prior to the event.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you.
    Kind Regards,
    Parul Verma
