Recruiting Timeline
When to recruit
Timing varies by path, but the general shape holds year to year:
Fall: Consulting recruiting moves earliest, with networking, applications, and case prep starting in the first term.
Winter: Pharma, healthcare corporate, and rotational programs run their main cycles.
Spring and ongoing: Digital health, startups, and smaller employers hire on a rolling basis; networking matters most here.
Exact dates shift every year and by firm, so don't rely on this page for them. Rotman's Career Services team publishes official recruiting dates each year, including when resume books open and firm sessions are scheduled. Check there before you plan around any specific date.
How to prepare
Case interviews. Practise structured problem-solving, with extra reps on healthcare-flavoured cases (market access, hospital operations, pricing).
Behavioural interviews. Prepare clear, specific stories that show judgement and impact
Sector knowledge. Be able to talk credibly about current trends in your target path.
Mock interviews. HMA and the Career Centre can connect you with peers and alumni to practise.
