Marlys Christianson is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at Rotman. She received a PhD in Management & Organizations from the University of Michigan. Her research interests include the coordination of complex and interdependent work, sensemaking in high-risk environments, and resilient organizing, particularly as it relates to error detection and correction. Her work has been published in a variety of outlets, including Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Management Inquiry, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Research Methods, and Organization Science.

Jia Lin Xie is Magna Professor in Management and Professor of Organizational Behaviour and HR Management at Rotman. Her research focuses on the fit between employees and their work environment (P-E fit) and the effects of such fit and misfit on employee well-being. Another area of her research expertise is cross-cultural management, with a focus on Chinese organizational behavior. Jia Lin has served at editorial boards for Journal of Organizational Behavior (2006-2011) and Management and Organization Review (2003 and onward), and currently serves as the President for International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR).

Submit Your Financial Planning Worksheet by July 8th

The Financial Planning Worksheet will help you figure out any shortfall that you may have, which will allow you to brainstorm other sources of funding that you can tap into.

A paper version was included in the Financing Your MBA document in your admission offer package. A fillable PDF is also available on RWorld in the Forms section.

Once you have completed your Financial Planning Worksheet, submit it to the Program Services Office. It will be reviewed, and you will be contacted if there are any questions regarding your funding and expenses.

Deadline to submit the form is Monday, July 8, 2019.

Using a PSLP Loan with BMO or RBC? Submit Your Declaration of Need Form by Aug 30th

The online Declaration of Need form is completed through the Pre-Program Portal under the “Submit Your Rotman Forms” Tab and serves the following purposes:

  • Indicates to the Rotman School that the Professional Student Loan Plan (PSLP) loan is required to pay fees.
  • Used by the Rotman School to confirm enrolment with the banks.
  • Provides permission for the Rotman School and the bank indicated to communicate and share information for the purposes of registration status
  • Unlocks loan so that you’re able to make your fees payment

The Declaration of Need is not required for pre-approval of the loan by the banks. Only a letter of offer of admission to the Rotman School is required. You can apply to the banks for a loan prior to submitting the Declaration of Need to the Rotman School.

The PSLP Terms and Conditions must be read and reviewed prior to submitting the Declaration of Need.

A confirmation email will be sent to your Rotman email address after you have successfully submitted your Declaration of Need.

Deadline for submission is Friday, August 30, 2019.
