Hi, I’m Bella from Indonesia. I completed my first master’s degree in Australia, specializing in Big Data and Finance. After returning to Indonesia, I worked as a Risk Modeller at a local bank. Three years later, I decided to pursue an MBA at Rotman to advance my career and focus on Data Science roles in Canada. This summer, I interned at Scotiabank as an Enterprise Stress Test Analyst, where I further developed my modeling and analytical skills. I am excited to help students explore career opportunities in the analytics field through RBAC!
What I wish I had known at the beginning of first year: I wish I had known how crucial networking is in Canada and the effective strategies for building a strong professional network!

I am an engineer with experience in technology and banking. I have experience working for 3 years in the payments division for the Mexican Central Bank and 2 years in consulting. On my projects, I have worked mainly on cybersecurity, business analytics and fraud prevention machine learning models. My internship from fall is at Scotiabank, in International Banking. I am passionate about analytics and fintech.

What I wish I had known at the beginning of first year: Follow your own pace, and you may find yourself swayed in different directions. However, if you can reconnect with your inner peace and rhythm, everything will turn out well.

Antara Kamath

Antara holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialisation in Economics from UofT. Prior to her MBA, Antara was a statistics analyst at an insurance advocacy firm. Her experience is not limited to geographical borders. Having lived in three countries and travelled to almost 20, she identifies as a global citizen. This summer, Antara joined the Government of Canada under the Shared Services Canada dept as an Evaluation (Internal Strategy) Intern
What I wish I had known at the beginning of first year: Trust the process! It is a rollercoaster of an experience but it is one of the most rewarding journeys you will be embarking on. That being said, rely on your cohort, ask for help, your professors are a great resource, and above all – prioritise. Good Luck!.
