Alexander Forstner, P.Eng, Vice President Part Time MBA

Alex did his undergrad in engineering physics and then went on to work in electricity infrastructure and then extractive hydrometallurgy. As a planning analyst in the electricity sector, he conducted techno-economic analyses that helped guide Ontario to a coal free resource mix and worked on the development and implementation of Ontario’s Feed-In-Tariff renewable energy incentive program. He then transitioned to the mining industry taking a role as hydrometallurgist, working on process development for a range of commodities, many that were critical to support the growth of the green energy and electric vehicle industries.

In his spare time, Alex loves to eat ice cream with his kids and BBQ great meals that bring people together.
