Case Competitions

The HMA prides itself on hosting 1-2 premier case competitions each year to provide students with the opportunity to solve real-life challenges in the healthcare space. Case competitions offer an unparalleled chance to hone your problem solving and presentation skills while networking with experts in the industry. No experience in healthcare is required and students of all work and educational backgrounds are encouraged to participate.

For the Case Competition last year, students were given the following problem statement – ‘Rotman MBA students living in a high-pressure environment can easily lose sight of their mental health and struggle to manage it well’, and were asked to investigate the problem, interview students and other stakeholders, develop and test ideas, and deliver proposed interventions.

This year we hope to understand and explore the topic of access to health services for the homeless populations in Toronto by speaking with key organizations and community stakeholders along with people directly affected by homelessness.
