1. Purpose
This establishes the people, assumptions and targets for the team that will constitute the Rotman Operations Management Association.

2. Background
The mission of the Rotman Operations Management Association (ROMA) is to empower MBA students with a basic understanding of the tools of operations management and general management, focusing on being successful in all career opportunities.

Club Goals – Guiding Principles
1. Aid members in expanding their knowledge about career opportunities in operations
2. Help members network and access recruitment opportunities with companies from across Canada
3. Provide training on practical operations management tools and tech (including Supply Chain Management (SCM))
4. Help members create professional networks within the operations management domain
5. Increase club visibility within the Rotman student community
6. Curate a safe and fun space to communicate with immediate school seniors and alumni
7. Create offerings that help members see themselves grow with the club – true value-add
8. Collaborate with other clubs where ‘operations’ overlap to provide visibility to operations career opportunities in different industries

As a club supported by Rotman’s Graduate Business Council (GBC), the ROMA further considers the following as part of its mandate:
a. To represent the interests of the MBA students at Rotman
b. In cooperation with Rotman administration and the GBC, to add value to students’ club experience at Rotman;
c. To further engagement and school spirit within the Rotman community.
