Instructor Bio


Bo Pelech is an Executive-in-Residence at the Rotman School where he teaches and mentors MBA students in experiential courses, including Growth Project Consulting and Sustainability, and supports MBA students seeking paid internships.

Target Audience


Students that want to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) intersects with high value business processes, problem and challenges.

Prerequisites


There is no specific technical knowledge needed, other than an inclination to learn / use ‘no-code’ online tools and technology (such as ChatGPT).

Format


As an ISP project, interactions are oriented mainly to weekly virtual check-ins with instructors and clients (problem sponsors). The first class on May 21st, however, will be in-person at Rotman.

Course Mission and Scope


AI will allow for unparalleled comprehensiveness in terms of the exploration of ideas and the analysis and pursuit of growth opportunities. This course is focused on exploring the intersection of AI with complex business problems/challenges and processes. Students will delve into multi-step processes with high-value outcomes, assessing how AI can replicate or otherwise enhance, supplement, augment deliverables. We are seeking individuals who are eager to tackle challenges and contribute to cutting-edge solutions in various domains of business operations. Students will work with an independent AI consultant that works with some of the largest companies in the world on their enterprise AI architecture and management strategies.

These are mainly free or low cost AI tools and platforms that students will be testing/iterating related to their challenge. Additional materials may be posted on Quercus.

Experiential Course Limit


There are limits to the number of RSM27XX range courses that students may take for credit toward their degree. Please refer to the Global and Experiential Course Eligibility Specifics and Limits section on the RO website for all details.
