Instructor Bio
Bo Pelech is a Professor and Executive-in-Residence at the Rotman School where he teaches and mentors MBA students in experiential courses, including AI, Growth Strategy and Sustainability, and supports MBA students seeking paid internships.
Reuven Cohen is an independent AI consultant working with some of the largest companies in the world on their enterprise AI architecture and management strategies.
Target Audience
Students that want to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) intersects with high value business processes, problem and challenges. Students will have several project options to choose from, ideally finding topics of interest.
Prerequisites
There is no specific technical knowledge needed, other than an inclination to learn/use ‘no-code’ online tools and technology (such as ChatGPT).
Format
As an ISP project, interactions are oriented mainly to weekly virtual check-ins with instructors and clients (problem sponsors). The first class on May 21st, however, will be in-person at Rotman.
Course Mission and Scope
AI will allow for unparalleled comprehensiveness in terms of the exploration of ideas and the analysis and pursuit of growth opportunities. This course is focused on exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with complex business problems/challenges and processes. Students will delve into multi-step processes with high-value outcomes, assessing how AI can replicate or otherwise enhance, supplement, augment deliverables. We are seeking individuals who are eager to tackle challenges and contribute to cutting-edge solutions in various domains of business operations.

Final Presentation – Working GPT, explanation of workflows and related libraries, and assessment of the quality / state of AI in the context of tackling such challenges, and presentation of low-fidelity prototyping | Early August |
Required Resources
These are mainly free or low cost AI tools and platforms that students will be testing/iterating related to their challenge.
Experiential Course Limit
There are limits to the number of RSM27XX range courses that students may take for credit toward their degree. Please refer to the Global and Experiential Course Eligibility Specifics and Limits section on the RO website for all details.
