General Information

Elective courses are offered through one of seven “areas,” or academic units, within the Faculty:

  • Accounting
  • Economic Analysis & Policy
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Operations Management & Statistics
  • Organizational Behaviour / Human Resource Management
  • Strategy
  • Integrative Thinking (offered by the Desautels Centre for Integrative Thinking)

Please note that not all courses are offered each year and that the list is subject to change.

Descriptions have been prepared by instructors based on their tentative course plans for next year. Faculty may change their plans as they get closer to the course offering, but students can rely reasonably well on these descriptions. Some courses may not be offered if there is insufficient demand for them there are changes in faculty assignments to courses.

Detailed course outlines will be available on Quercus two weeks before the course start date. Class schedules and any exam schedules will be available via the Rotman HUB/Calendar.

Note: The School reserves the right to change course content, instructors, instructional assignments, prerequisites, co-requisites, grading practices, and timetables without prior notice. The School also reserves the right to limit enrollment in courses or sections, and to withdraw courses or sections for which demand and/or resources are insufficient. Most elective courses have a maximum enrolment of 44 students per section.
