Azel Mulagulova

Program Manager, Office of Experiential Learning and Practicum Placement (OELPP)

Azel Mulagulova joined the Office of Experiential Learning and Practicum Placement (OELPP) as a Program Manager in April 2023. The OELPP, at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada shapes the experiential learning curricular activities for the Full-Time MBA, Master of Financial Risk Management (MFRM) and Master of Management Analytics (MMA) programs. These experiential learning activities include student internships, student practicum projects and student industry project placements.

Very passionate about education, Azel began her career in research. Over a decade, she earned valuable professional experience in academia, government and private sectors. She is a former Associate Director at the Institute for Sustainable Finance, Smith School of Business, where she led all aspects of the Institute’s operations with dedication to improving stakeholder engagement and business processes. Prior to joining the Smith School of Business, she worked in the financial industry at the TMX Group and Ontario Securities Commission with a focus on systems design and information management. Azel is a current Board Member at York Old Mill Tennis Club, where she is the Director of Teams and Special Events. She holds a Masters in Information from the University of Toronto.
